On May 14 I received another package from my host family in Tristan da Cunha. It was postmarked 24 April, four days before the fishing vessel MV Edinburgh was due to arrive at the island to pick up the post as well as some passengers for Cape Town. The arrival time is incredible: I received it only twenty days after the package was brought to the post office. Inside was a new style of Tristan water bottle (called a “juice bottle” on the island’s souvenirs web page) and a pen.
