In one of my games against Mark this past weekend I held the rack AFFIIY? and bemoaned the duplication of the F’s and I’s. The Y was clunky too. I looked at possible words ending with the suffix -IFY, but couldn’t find any. The only open letter to build through was a T, so I looked for -ITY suffixes, and then I found it: AFFInITY. Since I was playing Mark, it was truly a fitting word.
