Christmas at my house

This year I strung up these oversize plastic imitation Christmas bulbs along three strands of miniature lights. I have used thick silver or gold decorative wire in the past, but the multicolour mini lights I got last year were ideal, especially at night when they are lit and reflect off the blue tinsel. You can see a battery pack dangling in the top left. This one I could not hide but the other two are hidden amidst the tinsel.

The landing going upstairs, filled with vintage Christmas ornaments and lights all still in their original boxes

Three of my animated displays and only a part of my “White Christmas” collection

TV stand display featuring many pieces which belonged to my mother, including the jack-in-the-box Santa (second from right) which she had since she was a little girl

My tree theme this year is blue decorations with the old-fashioned solid (opaque) C7 bulbs, which are impossible to find replacements for. Some stores in the US though still produce them and in large boxes of 25. All I find here are coloured clear bulbs in packages of four.

A tree so bright I don’t need to put on any lights in the living room or kitchen at night

I absolutely think your house decorated for Xmas is so interesting; from the vintage decorations to the collection of White Christmas movies and the old Christmas books! And of course, the lingering smell of short bread cookies🤩
    Thank you for sharing💕
