My house is all ready for Christmas:

Mark and I leave for Halifax on Saturday to spend Christmas with Mark’s sister and family then on New Year’s Eve I will have Mark, Grant, Evelyn and Trooper over to my house for a combination Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebration. Today is my day off and I have a million things to do before I leave for the airport on Saturday morning. I work tomorrow so I have to get most of it done today: shopping, ironing, haircut, wrapping, Christmas party at the Scrabble Club and “Coronation Street” catchup. With all my baking and decorating I have let my favourite TV show slip. I hope to be caught up (according to Canadian standards, where we are two weeks behind the UK) before I leave.
