Mark and I spent Christmas in Nova Scotia with Mark’s sister Patsy and her partner Jim. Over the course of the week we did a lot of visiting and entertained visitors. We do most of our east coast Christmas shopping while in Halifax in the days leading up to Christmas and I must say, the malls and stores like Ikea are not busy at all on December 23 or Christmas Eve. I don’t have a local comparison since I am never shopping in Mississauga or Toronto during that same time, but we went to the malls and Dartmouth Crossing on Christmas Eve and there was no mad rush or hustle for last-minute gifts.
Patsy and Jim always have a large real tree and this one was notable especially for its girth:
