Hi to all my friends
Moikka mun frendille (suomennos englannin tekstin jälkeen)
I shall be embarking on another trip to northern Europe and will be spending two weeks in Finland and two weeks in Denmark. Two musical groups that I had seen in concert last year, Värttinä and Scandinavian Music Group, will be performing at festivals or on tour, and I am going to see several of their shows throughout the country.
At the end of April I will be in Copenhagen and then will spend eight days cycling around the Danish island of Bornholm.
A cycling holiday in nordic Europe is a happy way to spend four weeks but I will be extremely sad to leave home on Wednesday 14 April, since my beautiful green budgie, Kelly, will surely not be alive by the time I return. I have had Kelly for eleven years and he took a sudden and unexpected turn for the worst last Thursday.
It is always a pleasure to write to you via E-mail however I do prefer to write the old-fashioned way, pen on paper, in the form of postcards. If you wish to receive a postcard from abroad, I promise to write you.

Pian minä olen lomalla pohjois-Euroopalla ja aion olla Suomessa kaksi viikkoa sitten kaksi viikkoa Tanskassa.
Kaksi musiikkiryhmää, Värttinä ja Scandinavian Music Group, joiden konserttit minä näin vuotta sitten,
soittavat joko festivaaleilla tai kiertueella, ja menen useille konserteille kaikkialla Suomessa.
Huhtikuun lopulla olen Kööpenhaminassa ja sitten menen tanskan saareen Bornholmiin, missä nautin 8-päivän polkupyörämatka.
Noiden neljä viikkoa aikana olen erittäin iloinen, kun on pyörämatkalla pohjoismaalaisessa Euroopassa, mutta olen äärimäisen surullinen kun lähden kotoa keskiviikolla 14. huhtikuussa, koska mun kaunis vihreä
undulaatti, Kelly, ei ole varmasti elävää tulevana saapumisenani kotiin. Kelly on mun lemmikkini nyt yksitoista vuotta ja viime torstaina se sai odottamatta huonomman käänteen.
Minä pidän matkasähköpostein kirjoittamisesta, mutta pidän enemmän postikortein kirjoittamisesta. Jos
haluat saada postikortin mun matkastani Kööpenhaminasta tai Bornholmista, kerro mulle ja lupaan kirjoittaa sulle.
