Cypress dinner

On our last night in California Mark and I had dinner at the home of his brother- and sister-in-law in Cypress. Thanh had just finished baking bread so the aroma in the kitchen was incredible. She served it with a delicious cheese board which also included honey still on the comb. I managed to take several helpings which could have done me well as a main course. I cannot resist good cheese. We ate barbecued chicken and mixed vegetables outside on their covered patio. Rory took the photo below. I dread photos of myself–you don’t often find them on this blog–but Rory managed to take a great picture of the three of us.

We last saw Rory and Thanh in 2018 when we, as well as Mark’s sister Patsy, all vacationed in Iceland at the same time. We met at a Vietnamese restaurant in Reykjavík for dinner.
