I have received more mail from my host family in Tristan da Cunha. I do not post about every occasion that I receive something, but this time I got the latest issue of the Tristan da Cunha Newsletter in the envelope below:
The stamp and postmark up close:
The envelope was mailed on January 27, so it took two months to arrive. In a separate smaller envelope my friend Janice sent me two old first-day covers that were stamped on the island. Unfortunately, the postage stamp on the envelope had fallen off in transit. It had already been cancelled, as there is a round postmark on the envelope that looks like a yawning Pac-Man outline.
