These sixteen albums managed to squeak in at the lowest rung. Nine of them hung around for a single week, but only two stayed for more than a couple. I can now finally answer the question I had long wondered about: after twenty years of chart-making, how many albums entered my chart? A grand total of 496 albums appeared on my Top Ten Albums chart.
[a] [EP] = A 12″ single. In the first months of my albums chart I would rank 12″ maxi-singles or 12″ extended plays in with my full-length long-playing albums. In a sense I was ranking discs based on their size, as opposed to their content.
[b] Tied for the longest run at #10.
