I won two out of three last week, to take my record to 51-9:
364-414 against Max Panitch. I played SOpPIER (80) and Max played ARACHNID (68) and SAILbOAT (68). He needed to find a bingo to play out and found one, which had to begin SA-.
437-228 against Charles. I played TEAZELED (72) as well as high-scoring non-bingos BURRY (56) and QUASH (81). Charles had both blanks and I challenged off his UnfAILED*. I then proceeded to block up the board to prevent him from playing any bingo. Charles opened but I always blocked. He needed to open up in multiple directions to stand a chance of playing a bingo. Charles grew frustrated and lost forty points going overtime. My final play was QUASH, where the Q landed on the TLS and the H on the DWS. I hooked SEPT to make SEPTA.
539-245 against Marlene. I played ASSURED (75), AZOTISE (110) and REARMiNG (83).
