On December 3 my mother and I went Christmas shopping on our annual trip to downtown Toronto. We enjoy the day shopping from 9 a.m. till past 10 p.m. This is a tradition we have shared since my university days and it is a highlight of the Christmas season. We visit The Eaton Centre and love to marvel at the Swarovski tree. In a change from its usual silver crystal shimmer, the tree has a burst of colour this year: big red ornaments, plus golden bows:
This evening (Thursday night) Mark and I are attending a Christmas tree decorating party. I am forgoing the Scrabble Club to take part in another of my most favourite activities.
