The Ontario election was on Thursday night. I watched election coverage, as well as the Stanley Cup game, at Mark’s place. I checked my mailbox that night, and emptied it.

Yesterday–Friday, one day after the election–I got this in my mailbox. The incumbent sent it to her constituents in a mass-mailing:

If I had spent thousands on printing these cards (as I can’t imagine this print job costing under four figures) as well as a fee to Canada Post to distribute them, only to learn that they went out one day after the election, I’d be furious. Not that they would have helped anyway. This candidate lost by a wide margin.

So now Ontario will be led by a morbidly obese charlatan with a bad blond hairjob and annoying smile. Sounds like anyone familiar?
