Mark and I played three games this past weekend and while we always play on the weekends, I tend only to write about our games if either of us made any exceptional plays or scores. In one of my games I certainly had a dazzling and surprising sequence of events.
527-366. I played RETYPES (77), TEENAGER (72), RETAILS (71) and CENSURED (86). Mark played BEliEVE (78). Two of my racks had funny yet lengthy steals: the “shortest” steal for DFHORTU is RUTHerFOrDium and for BOPPSST it’s gOBSToPPerS.
350-351. I played NOMINATE (83) and Mark played RECOILEd (60). With plenty of time on my clock I had to think out the endgame and could not have tied or won the game. Mark played well and I was lucky to lose by only a single point.
468-444. In spite of my four bingos to Mark’s one, he still managed to score 444. My first bingo was DAZzLES (112), which ranks 23442 out of 25473 7LW. I played it such that the Z was on the DLS and the whole word doubled. I also underhooked the D and A. I followed that bingo on my next turn with SURPRISE (61). I also played OREIDES (73) and TOTEABLE (61). Mark played COLOGNEs (83).
