Mark and I played four games this past weekend and I won three. Some of the bingos were interesting because of their wackiness:
457-222. I played ANURETIC (72) and sHUTINg (79).
531-361. My first two bingos were notable, as I don’t recall ever playing ICEBOaTS (86) or TYmPANO (78) before. I am very happy I found TYmPANO, as the available bingo lane required the terminating letter to stack to the left of an I. Thus I could have played a 7LW that ended with A, O, P, T or whatever letter I could make the blank. As it turns out, to my surprise, TYmPANO is the only 7LW in that rack. I also played WORMIEST (91) and OUTRIDE (68). I had the opportunity to play a fifth bingo with AALNRSU yet missed RANULAS. I fished off the U, hoping to pick one of the remaining three E’s in order to play ARSENAL, but chose an F instead. Had I drawn an E I still could have played ARSENAL as Mark left the spot open, so a 600+ game was within reach. Mark played PRINTERS (83).
423-303. I played GROUSES (76) and EXULTOry (64)*. My rack for the second bingo was ELOUX?? with the T on the right centre TWS and a clear row for any 8LW with a T in it. There is only one 8LW with that rack and a T: OcTUpLEX. My rack of ELOUX?? surprisingly makes no 7LW.
360-484. I played ODONATE (80) and GRANDEST (64). Mark had a great game with some dazzling bingos: GLITZIER (72), followed by EXEcUTED (80)–that’s a Z bingo immediately followed by an X bingo–then VAPOuRS (90) five turns later. Right after Mark played EXEcUTED, I placed RE- in front of it for a flashy 10LW REEXEcUTED (34).
