I won all four games against Mark this weekend in what was a barn-burner bingo blowout:
Craig | Mark |
RERENTED (60) | STEMMiNG (74) |
SANGRIA (75) | DEBiTING (65) |
pARLAYED (88) | UNNAILED (60) |
IDOLATER (63) | CARTELS (74) |
ANERGIAS (68) | RIGgERS (68) |
DARkROOMS (86) | |
FAScIAS (79) | |
MULTiPLE (72) | |
ODONATE (78) | |
DERIVATE (80) | |
REZONES (77) | |
MATINEE (77) | |
DIASTER (80) | |
HOODIES (77) |
Mark wisely chose to play DEBiTING, making the blank an i instead of an a, which would have given me an additional letter to play through. In this game, which I won 465-425, Mark was ahead after his second bingo, UNNAILED. I had already scored two myself but was behind, and the board was closing down. There were by then two bingo lanes: one requiring me to build an eight-letter word around a letter that had to be in the middle of the word; and the other which required me to build a nine-letter word where the first two letters were DA. With my rack of MOORRS?, I stretched DA to (DA)RkROOMS, slotting the S on the TWS on the lower left corner. That play sealed the win.
We both held the other on questionable bingos: I held UNNAILED and Mark held FAScIAS. Neither of us challenged.
In the final game where I played four bingos, three of them scored 77.
I see I only used blanks in four of my fourteen bingos.
